Circular

I have been running into old friends and old loves. i miss some of then and not others, and yet, the ones i have not see i cannot get out of my head at times.

my family is moving after 20 years stationary in a great place. its the right move, but that does not make is any less easy to digest. a process like so many other thing.

i am just curious as to when things stop being circular...
my grandpa told me something interesting this weekend.. that time is not a straight line nor is it circular.. but it is more like a double helix, spinning upwards and depending on where you look from it may look circular.

although spiraling often has a bad connotation, i think it is a good metaphor for how life moves. up and down, fast and slow, like a slinky

here is a quote from and old friend's blog... someone that i will never see again, and that is ok

beginnings and endings, what's the difference

In a circular world, maybe a circular universe(?) a beggining is like an end, and an end is like a beginning, or so it seems today. An end to a story, cut short, can it not be a beggining too? caterpillar-chrysalis-butterfly-what? Isn't the pain at the end like the pain of birth also?
